While I am traveling home this morning from the Piss Party in Chicago, I thought I might begin a series of pieces about my playroom. In recent years, I have really grown to like the idea of having separate rooms for sex and for sleep. The playroom's not fancy. But it is a room devoted to promoting good sex. I adapted an upstairs bedroom--for the house I rent has a basement that is impossible to use. The sling dominates the room. As it should. I think there is absolutely nothing like the sheer pleasure of fucking in a sling. Of course, you can have great sex on a bed. And I do. There's a double bed in the room as well. But I like variety. An awful lot of people are hesitant about the sling--before they try it. I have never met a man who didn't like it once he was in it. I think it is truly freeing for both the Top and the Bottom.
For the Bottom, you are supported all across your back, head and neck, your legs are up and comfortably out of the way in the stirrups. You are floating. There is no strain in maintaining your position. For the Top you have an incredible range of motion. And the Bottom's legs are not on your shoulders-- pushing you back and out of his ass. Since I rent, I chose to get a frame as opposed to hang the sling from the ceiling. I'm very glad I did. Not only is it easier to take down and put away if I need the room for other purposes, but it can pack in no time to take with me to a hook up's home or motel. I bought a tall frame. I'm 6'3". I have hit my head on standard 6' frames. This one has an extra 6" inches. If you look carefully in the picture to the left you'll see I bungeed a mirror to the top of the frame. Bottoms love to see my cock going into them--and I love to watch their face as they watch it. There is a tarp below the sling--so WS action can happen right there--none of those mood destroying runs to the bathroom tub. I usually have a piece of fabric on top of the tarp to prevent run off.
Sling are not cheap--but worth the expense. It was the first piece in the playroom that changed my house (in an out of the way little town) into a "destination"--that added incentive for men to make the drive.

ReplyDeleteFor all I was a thorough slut in my youth, I never managed and/or allowed myself to play in a sling. I agree that sling play is irreplaceable, for top or bottom, and love being in either position. I too bought the same stand when I lost my house and moved into a tiny apartment. The quick & easy assembly/disassembly and remarkably compact storage are ideal in my circumstances, and allows traveling equipped. I likewise have a polyethylene sheet - big enough for my king bed, or can be folded to dimensions suitable to the location. Ah, the money I have transferred to Ft Trough! Love those guys ;-)
I'll have to get risers of some sort to accommodate your height. Being a short guy I didn't spring for the more generous and expensive Big&Tall version. ;-P

I love you describing your out of the way house as a destination. I can tell you with certainty that if I had known you in my slutty bottom days, I would have made the drive from Ohio for sure. Of course, I made the long drive to see Rob, so it isn't a promise so much as truth in advertising. Some day, after borrowing/using another man's sling, I'm sure I will drop the money on my own. I love the idea of them and I'm sure I'll love the application.

ReplyDeleteI really like the new new Fort Troff model that got mentioned in the Meet the BF post. It was a canvas sling--which is a huge cost saver. Good construction on the stand and the built in mirror is great. And a couple hundred less than what I paid.
I would have a canvas sling had I not lucked out buying a leather one from a friend who made a bunch of simple saddle leather ones. May still get a canvas one for the sake of being able to throw it in the wash. I'd have done the new FT Trough kit but it wasn't available when I needed the stand. Timing!
ReplyDeleteRP--Me too, on the timing issues--I bought the taller stand the moment it was available--they didn't even have a bag big enough for the uprights yet. So costs have gone down and they've refined...But I really have no regrets..And that bag is plenty heavy enough WITHOUT the uprights in it. I just wrap those in the tarp...

VRPBottom--As much as I love slings, they are not always the best choice for an orgy. They can limit access to you. That crane around of your head to get a cock in your mouth as well as in your ass--kind of defeats their purpose for me. For a gangbang, that's another story. But they seem to be best in situations with more limited numbers. Your ex's set up sounds ideal.
