My Playroom--January, 2012
While I was struggling with how to write up the New Year’s Eve orgy post, I had BBRT on as a diversion. Soon it became my only focus. Ok, it’s name dropping time. Jayson Park, Porn Star Extraordinaire sent me a New Year’s greeting. It was in response to a note I’d written to him at the end of December. (Readers with long memories will remember that Jayson was the star bottom in the porn scene I filmed at MAL last year. He and I have chatted occasionally over this last year. And some of his news was that our scene may finally be coming out. We shall see. )
Today we chatted on BBRT.
Then we chatted on G-Mail.
Soon we were chatting on the phone.
He expanded on how he had heard about the potential release of the Bad Seed video.
We talked about an event that we might collaborate on.
But we also talked a lot about the state of bareback porn--and how important it is to actually buy the videos we watch--or subscribe to the online services.
In his blog, Views from the Bottom--which you can always find in the “My Blog List” column on the right--he used the new release of The Breeding of Jason Park to remind us that unless we want to see nothing but self made porn, we have to actually spend a little money with the companies who make it. Well, here it is in Jayson’s words from an email he sent me after we hung up…
Would you…"mention something about this one:

I promise you it’s not as self-serving as it sounds! If you have read the post, hopefully you’ll get that I just wanna help bareback porn as much as possible; and there’s no better time then the beginning of a New Year. Which, with all those weird news stories - like the body found at the Queens Palace, the shooter at Mount Rainier, and Newt Gingrich announcing he is total "no exception" when it comes to abortions - is starting out as fucked up as it can get! So if ya really wanna get fucked up right...
...Maybe just reiterate my "support your local bareback porn maker" plea will suffice!”
So readers--make the jump. You should read Jayson’s message.
(And there are HOT pictures from the new video.)
Support your local bareback porn maker!
First of all, I feel like I must apologize for being away for so long and not commenting in what seems like ages. Honestly, this is the first time I have even logged in to blogger in over a week. I'm sorry for neglecting you, my friend, but know that I am still a huge fan of you and your sexy blog.
ReplyDeleteSecond, I have always been a fan of supporting the porn that I like by paying for it (which, strangely enough, amounts to a lot of money to TIM--go figure). It is the same with music. I like an artist, I want to feel like I have done my part to support them. I know I'm not the only one who feels this way, but I also know that there are A LOT of people who just download or only find pirated clips on xlive. I just hope that the numbers of people who DON'T pay aren't outweighing those of us who DO.

Ah, but Ace - a sexy man with whom I have yet to have the pleasure to meet in person (stripped to my socks, of course) - that "outweighed" day has already come. But let's just hope then that the day of men producing real porn - as opposed to "homemade" - are not gone!
ReplyDeleteBy some accounts, and this is an unscientific offering, although it's from the pornmakers mouths to my ears (should that be dick to hole?) its around 90% to 10%. That is what is watched for nothing as opposed to watched for a fee.
The biggest hurdle in all of this (but an irony we can build on) is that no one, publicly, is going to come to the defense of porn companies - especially ones who make bareback. If anything, barebackers are the ones getting hammered the hardest (!!!) and by our own supposed "brothers": the guys who make "condom only" vids. Though their pay viewership is evaporating even faster than for our raw scenes, they'd rather see us extinguished than try to galvanize an effort to save porn in general. Hey, if we cant find a way to stand together we are screwed!!!
The irony that we can build upon is that the same technology that is killing the business of porn is from the same inner-circle development strategies that brought scenes to porno-minded viewers (on their home monitors and mobile devices) in the first place.
Consequently, what we need to change things is "right here" - especially in that the vast majority of what men look at on their computers is porn! Yet the too-easy ability for men to have all this at a click (for free) makes it this business' own worst enemy, too. Let's just hope we soon find a way together to work out where things aren't that bad and soon. Like maybe an iTunes app for porn?!
XXX, Jayse
So true if we don't purchase it they won't make them in the future. I will definitely have to save my $ to make a purchase to support Jayson and manufacturers who make bareback porn.
ReplyDeleteIt also might get more studs to become bareback tops or bottoms.
(Of course I am hoping for more tops!)
Guys--Jayson said it so eloquently I have nothing to add, save I feel the same about music, too.
ReplyDeleteJayson,
ReplyDeleteI could probably go on and on about how annoyed I get that no one publicly talks about liking and supporting porn. Everyone--men, women, straight, gay--watches porn at some point in their life. Sure, some are put off by it and never watch again, but they are definitely the minority. I don't see why, then, it still has to be all shut curtains and closed doors. Maybe I'm just too progressive for the current times, but I don't see a problem with liking porn. It doesn't make you sick, it doesn't make you anti-social, and it doesn't mean you aren't getting any. And the longer we treat pornography as a scandal, the longer we are going to fill our children with the thought that is should be considered bad, when, in fact, it is as much a part of sexuality as sex is. Anyway, before I fill up this blog with a rant, I'll leave off there.

Ace--You may rant here anytime you need to..
